Participation at the CNE, 2017

Following our tradition of the last 25 years, this year also we are participating at the annual CANADIAN NATIONAL EXHIBITION in Toronto, from August 18 to September 4, 2017. Our booth number this year is 3527 and it is located in the Direct Energy Building, Hall B. “International Markets” at the north site of the Grand Stage of the Hall. Our booth, which is double, as in the previous years, is showcasing the multilingual publications of Canada, will promote the sector and will provide information about the members. This year also our participation is going to be special, as for the first time in the history of our organization, we join our efforts with our brother mainstream media organization “National News Media Council”, which represents equal number of publications with our organization.

Taking this opportunity I am extending an invitation to all our members to please join us in our venture by mailing to our office one copy of your publication from every province and City, your operation is based. These copies will be placed in display to more than two million visitors of our booth over the 18 day CNE operation.

Together, the NEPMCC, the “National News Media Council” and the Association des journalists independants du Quebec”, will work to promote the industry and support our members in solidarity and respect to each other.

Also on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm we are celebrating the official opening of our booth, with the participation of members of the political establishment of the province and the Federal Government. A reception with wine, cheese and baked goods and live music will follow the ceremony at the “Green Café”, inside the pavilion. For this reason the entrance to Exhibition is going to be free for our members which carry our Media Pass. When you come to entrance of the exhibition please show your Media Pass and tell them that you are attending the event of the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada.
